Taking Care of Business

That's all this weekend has been!
Nothing but business and getting stuff in order!
I have about 1000 fliers to hand out for this week and I'll probably print more everyday to bring back to St. Charles Parish this weekend!
My latest order of business supplies arrived in Luling yesterday! Can't wait to get my hands on them when I get home! There's tons of new business cards, rack cards, and lots more!
I also got new labels for CDs, envelopes, and other things to start customizing for clients :]
I am so anxious to stun my upcoming clients with how professional everything looks!
Tagged some apartments and doing more this week, been talking with local business owners and getting the okay to tag cars :] Love feeling official!

I am also offering a Valentine's Day Mini Session special this week and weekend until Valentine's Day next Tuesday!

I've also got some small suprise gift bags for the couples who participate! Just a touch that I couldnt't pass up!
Also, looking at a band job this weekend, as well as a potential couple's shoot and several other shoots coming up during Mardi Gras! SO pumped!
My new clients have been awesome to work with and set things up with!
There are lots of people who I have been talking to about shoots, but nothing is final yet, but I have my fingers crossed!!!
If you are one of those potential clients, I will be sending out update message and emails ASAP! Some have already been sent!
I am going to start looking for props for those upcoming shoots, possibly my FAVORITE part <3 I am very open to donations though! <3

Other than Valentine's Day, I will be back in St. Charles Parish throughout Mardi Gras week and the surrounding weekends! Hoping to book that schedule a little bit more!

I know I may sound pushy, but that is not my intention at all! I am just very dedicated and really trying to start this year out right with some awesome clients! I refuse to fail in what I want to do and I know I am capable of doing so, I just need poeple to put their faith in me a little bit more and give me that chance to prove it to them!

I've had my camera on me 24/7, taking pictures constantly and promoting nonstop!
Here's a quick shot I took outside my apartment complex while walking around campus!

I don't know about you, but I am MORE than ready for Spring and Summer! The weather is always soooo perfect for shoots and it expands my range of photography so much without the cold weather!
I am pumped to have more time to take clients when they need me to and not worry about school!
I am considering even quitting my job and working as a photographer and artist all summer, but ONLY if I have enough clients to keep up with my bills and make the money that I need. That would be such a blessing! Or maybe even find a work week job, that way I can have evenings and weekends free to work with all of you! But I guess that's still several months away, so I can think about that later!

I don't know how many of you know what Project Independent is, but they are a promotional company for metal bands, such as my boyfriend. He was selected as one of the 3 students out of the whole country for an intership in the fall as a film production majoring student! SUCH an honor! He has been one of my main supporters and I could not be happier that things are working out for him just as much as they are for me! He is so talented and I know that he is going so far in his journey as a director, this is just the first step! I know that didn't have much to do with my busines, but I just HAD to share my joy about this with all of you!

But back to business, with all this new and exicitng stuff coming up very soon and all the work with new clients, I am hoping that I will be as busy as I want to be, and be promoting even more with these new shoots and varieties!

I am trying to keep up with this as much as possible! I have been working on this blog for five days! And I am just now finally getting to publishing it!

Another cool thing to check out!
I am part of VDAY Lafayette this year. It is an organization in conjunction with the Vagina Monologues which we will be producing within a few weeks. This is not a dirty site or organization. This organization is to raise awareness about domestic violence against women and all of our profits go to Faith House in Lafayette. This is an annual production and movement and has been going on at ULL's campus for many years. I am very, very blessed to be a part of such an amazing group and cause, but it is very time consuming and rewarding. Here are a few links to check out and help support our cause, if you would like to!

Thanks for taking the time and readingmy blog, and supporting me, and if you did, the VDAY Lafayette cause! It really means more than you can imagine to me and I am very greatful!
Have a wonderful day and follow this blog to stay updated with us!

Mobile Blogging

I promised to keep up on this new blog and I intend to keep to that promise.
Today was extremely successful!
Lots of new clients are very interested in setting up shoots, I have 5 possible shoots right now! VERY anxious to see how many actually go through! Fibers crossed!

I've been experimenting with my new equipment (new lenses and flash). I adore them and they were very worth the tons of money that I spend on them!
I'm attaching a few shots that I fell in love with!

I've been getting unbelievable support and advice from some truely amazing photographers that inspire me daily. I love how they are so humble, even with all their success and "fame". They have all been more than willing to help me and talk to me about anything I want. It's really inspirational and keeps me motivated!

My new business supplies (business cards, post cards, etc) should be in today or tomorrow and I cannot wait! I'll attath a photo of the new business card design :)

I've gotten over 160 likes on the new page, almost 40 views on the last blog post, and soo many compliments on my work! Most of them were from today. I can't believe it's taking off this fast! I've already got fans from all over the country and some even from out of the country, talk about exciting!

I cannot wait to see where the next few days take me (:

Thanks for the support <3

It's been a day and week, so I'm calling it a night and starting my weekend early!
Everyone have a great night!

New Start, New Blog

This year, we're starting new! New facebook page, new web design, new package offerings, new everything!

This year, I am hoping to really hit the ground running with new business clients, new advertising and promoting, equiptment, and new business supplies!
New lenses have already come in and I got a brand new flash last night, it amazes me more every time I pick it up.
I've gotten tons of support from my friends and family, and even some new people which makes me feel awesome about what I'm doing!
I've gotten some amazing advice from some of my inspirational photographers that I have always loved and followed!

I'm ready to take this to a new level and I have several potential clients that I'm sure will help me get there! I am not giving up on this, I've wanted it too long and I've worked far too hard! I am very determined and nothing is going to get in my way!

I know this won't be easy, but then again the life of an artist is never easy, no matter how good they are. . .
I found a quote that keeps me going everyday and I wish I would have found it sooner.

It stays near me everytime I think about where I want Splash Studios to go.
I'm not sure where it will end up right now, but I like the direction it is headed and I am going to enjoy every minute of the ride fully.
Maybe I won't make it anywhere, maybe I'll always remain where I am right now, just doing it for fun and on the side, but maybe something will click one day and it will really launch off like I hope for it to.
I'm going to try to stay faithful to this new blog and update it as much as possible.
So I hope you enjoy the ride with me and watch me grow!

Thanks for all the support so far and all the support to come!
